System Requirements

This page sets out the browsers, operating systems, connection speeds, and display sizes TrackStage is built and tested for. TrackStage is a desktop-first platform at trackstage.io; running it outside the configurations below may work, but is not supported.

Browser

TrackStage works best on the latest version of the following browsers:

Not supported. Internet Explorer, Opera Mini, Mozilla Firefox, or any browser more than two major versions behind current.

2.1 A Note on Safari Versions

Apple renumbered Safari to match the macOS release year beginning with Tahoe, so the version sequence jumps 17 → 18 → 26 rather than incrementing by one. "17 or greater" therefore covers Apple's last three releases — Safari 17 (Sonoma), 18 (Sequoia), and 26 (Tahoe) — which is the same "current, minus two major versions" rule applied to Chrome and Edge above, adjusted for the renumbering.

This also aligns with Apple's own support window: Apple currently ships security updates only for macOS Tahoe (26), Sequoia (15), and Sonoma (14), while Monterey (12) and Ventura (13) no longer receive them. The macOS floor below is set to Sonoma (14) accordingly, so no one running an unsupported, unpatched operating system is told TrackStage will work for them.

Beyond version number, Safari users should be aware of three behaviours we recommend testing before relying on Safari: autoplay restrictions affecting in-app audio playback, file-upload and drag-and-drop handling, and Intelligent Tracking Prevention purging script-written storage — including the cookie-consent flag — after a period of inactivity. As a result, Safari visitors may see the cookie banner reappear more often than Chrome or Edge users.

2.2 Browser Settings

JavaScript, cookies, and pop-ups must be enabled for trackstage.io. TrackStage uses pop-up windows for file uploads, password resets, and certain account actions; if your browser, ad-blocker, or privacy extension blocks pop-ups, these may fail silently. Whitelisting trackstage.io is recommended.

Operating System

Mobile browsers (iOS Safari, Android Chrome) will render the Service for viewing and basic tasks, but TrackStage is built for desktop. A desktop or laptop computer is recommended for substantive catalog work.

Internet Connection

Audio uploads are the most bandwidth-intensive operation in TrackStage. A 50 MB WAV file takes approximately 40 seconds on a 10 Mbps upload connection, and approximately seven minutes on 1 Mbps. Users uploading in volume should expect materially better results on a faster connection.

Unstable Wi-Fi can cause uploads to fail mid-transfer. If you experience repeated upload failures, use a wired connection or move closer to your router.

Screen Resolution

TrackStage's dashboards, kanban boards, and file tables are built for a full desktop layout. Several fixed-width panels — some running 760–999px wide — sit side by side, and file tables require roughly 700px of width alone to display file name, notes, and upload date without heavy truncation.

Below approximately 1280px of width, expect horizontal scrolling and cramped columns rather than a broken layout; nothing fails outright, but the experience becomes uncomfortable. A standard 13-inch laptop screen (1440 × 900, or 1512 × 982 on Retina Macs) clears the minimum comfortably. The desktop-first note in Section 3 continues to apply.
